We are a family of 7, who, at Sharon’s behest have taken on the task of restoring and keeping Thomastown House and Grounds. Mark and Sharon moved to the Parish of Corofin and Belclare in the Archdiocese of Tuam in 2007 from Salthill, Galway City as a young couple. Subsequently Sharon and Mark gained 5 children and our 4 bedroom house became too small, necessitating move while being conscious not to leave the Parish, School Catchment Area and Corofin GAA hinterland.
The Kane Family vision is for the restoration of Thomastown House and grounds so as to allow it acknowledge Irish history as witnessed from "Thomastown House" from “1640” onward, while sustainably incorporating the house and its grounds back into "Turlach Na Rua". From this vision a Logo of “Thomastown House 1640 @ Turlach Na Rua” has been adopted. That Logo graphically shows the architecturally significant Victorian Southern Wing of Thomastown House.
